Rebecca H. Baritot graduated from the Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University, cum laude, in 1981, where she was an editor of Law Review. She was a confidential law clerk for the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia prior to taking the New York Bar exam in 1982. From 1982 until 1993 she was associated with a major downtown Buffalo law firm where she headed its Matrimonial Law department. She formed her own law firm in 1993 which confines its practice to matrimonial and family law, handling matters which include separation and divorce, prenuptial agreements, custody and child support matters, adoption and post-divorce issues of modification and enforcement.

She is admitted to practice in all state, federal and bankruptcy courts. She has both lectured and taught in the area of family law, both privately and on behalf of the New York State and Erie County Bar Associations. She has been listed as among superior rated lawyers numerous times in Business First and Buffalo Law Journal relative to ‘Who’s Who’ in the practice area, and was nominated as superior in her practice area by Super Lawyers in prior years.

In 2012, she was chosen by the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York for the 4th Judicial Department to receive the prestigious Hon. Michael F. Dillon Attorneys for Children Award in recognition of “vigorous advocacy on behalf of children”.
