At the law firm of Rebecca H. Baritot, Esq., my staff and I take your matter seriously. You as a client are important to my firm. I or my staff will return and respond to all communications from you in a timely manner. I will personally be available to respond to and address your questions and concerns and to offer sound legal advice. My firm operates a bit differently than many other law firms in terms of staffing and the handling of client matters: your phone calls, communication or work product will never be handled by a secretary or general support staff, but only by a certified paralegal or attorney. You will meet all professionals who will be working on your matter at your first conference with this office. While voice mail is very useful in particular before and after regular office hours, my office refrains from using voice mail on a routine basis and during business hours you may expect to speak directly with staff. Office hours start as early as 7 a.m.
I confine my practice to family and matrimonial law, an area in which I have practiced 35 years. I limit my practice to matters which include separation and divorce, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, custody and child support matters, adoption and post-divorce issues of modification and enforcement. I practice in Family Courts of various counties, New York State Supreme Court, and am admitted to practice in federal court, bankruptcy court, and the Appellate Courts. I practice in Erie, Niagara and Wyoming Counties.
Your divorce may be your first encounter with the legal system. My staff and I understand this can be a difficult process financially and emotionally. You may face unexpected issues in the process, and the goals and desires of your spouse may be vastly different from yours. It’s vitally important that you understand the basics of the divorce process from start to finish to achieve a positive outcome. The divorce process can become complicated, full of deadlines and complex paper work. I will work diligently and personally with you to address your concerns so that together we can achieve the best outcome.
If you feel that I may be the right attorney to represent you and wish to explore this relationship further, please call my office (or use the Contact Us form) to schedule a consultation or case evaluation conference.
